E-Commerce web design involves developing a website which enables the user to purchase items on the internet, usually via debit or credit card.

Most website design companies offer e-commerce website design as a service – these websites usually include a content management system so that the client can update the website themselves.  These websites are usually database driven, and can list hundreds or thousands of products in multiple categories and sub categories.
